Architecture has been my love since I was in my teens. My tenth grade Art Project explored the various architectural styles found in my home country - Jamaica, and I was always fascinated by designing housing spaces to accommodate multiple families.
This section shows two houses I designed: the first in 2016 and the second in 2021.
Spanish- Style House
This project was one of my favourites. I designed it in 2017 to build my skills in SketchUp. The layout and most assets included in this house were created by me.
I created assets like the window frames and railings, counter spaces, bathroom fixtures and certain furniture. I also sourced textures for these assets, and to bring the rooms to life.

Modern contemporary Layout
This house was inspired by The House which was used as a set for the K-Drama "Cinderella and the Four Knights".
What I liked about that house was the way each person had their own space which was blended with multiple cozy shared living spaces.
My take on it includes dedicated spaces like a multilevel library, movie theatre, freeform swimming pool with a rock feature, private and semi-private gardens and green spaces. Multiple people can share a space without feeling crowded.
The design is my most recent one (started in late 2021) and has not yet been completed.

Character Drawings
Whenever I say I am an artist, one of the first questions asked is "Can you draw?"
My response is usually no (I personally think my drawing skills are limited). However, that didn't stop me when I was five, and it certainly won't stop me now.
This section includes sketches of Popular Characters from various animated movies.
"Hades" and "The Beast" demonstrate the process from sketch to finished drawing.

Wedding
Stationery
This section includes wedding invitations and stationery I designed for family and friends. The peacock wedding program and invitation was at the request of the bride and designed with their wedding colours in mind. The peach watercolour wedding program was left up to me so I matched the colour scheme and design with what the bride and groom had already done.

While the names and details have been changed in the sample, this was done for a wedding that took place in 2018.

This peacock-themed wedding program and invitation was at the request of the bride and designed with their wedding colours in mind.

The Huggins
This wedding program was done for a relative. It was requested three days before the wedding as it had been overlooked in the planning process. The bride left the design entirely to me so I matched the design to their wedding colours from their website and kept it simple to fit with their general aesthetic.
If I had more time, I would have suggested that it be printed in a fan format since it was for an outdoors wedding.

Handmade Cards and Envelopes
This Card was designed and created by me for my parent's 34th anniversary in 2021. Materials used: Various cardstock, metallic gold transfers, satin ribbon, and metallic gold markers.
Background Test with paper of different colours and textures. #3 - a thick, white cardstock with a subtle texture - was selected as it offered the best contrast with the various elements.
Card Insert Test to tweak text layout, word/character spacing, various pen colours and handwriting styles.
Creating the envelope from one sheet of beige cardstock.
Test fitting the card before using strong double-sided tape to assemble the envelope.
Finished envelope with ribbon as a decorative feature.
This Card was designed and created by me for a close coworker who left to further her studies in 2022. It was my first time working with embossing powders and heat setting. Materials used: Various cardstock, gold embossing powder, and foam (as stand-offs for the floral embellishments).
Printing floral embellishments separately to give the card dimension.
Prepping the card by leaving a blank space for the inked stamp of "Congrats".

Baking recipe Book
This recipe book was created for a Virtual Family Holiday Event held December 2020 during the pandemic.
The design was simple, incorporating sample images along with easy-to read text for convenient viewing on a mobile device or printed as necessary.
